Marta S. Codeço

I was born in Portugal and had an interest in geology since an young age. I did my BSc in Geology and MSc in Economic Geology at the University of Lisbon (Portugal) and moved to Germany, where I did my PhD in the world famous Panasqueira W-Sn-Cu deposit (Portugal). After my PhD I spent another 3 years in Germany as a postdoc working on VMS deposits in the Iberian Pyrite Belt. Since July 2023, I am the Manager of the Lowell Program in Economic Geology (University of Arizona).
